Drive Over Prince Alfred's Pass

One nice day we headed east from Mossel Bay along N2, The Garden Route, and after a visit to the Birds of Eden aviary, we turned North and drove over Prince Alfred's Pass. The road was a bit rough but we had no problems, the views were wonderful, and once again, we are amazed at South Africa. We came back R62, great drive, and the mercedes loved it.

Birds of Eden

Along highway N2 between Port Elizabeth and Mossel Bay, The Garden Route, in South Africa's Western Cape, we found this aviary, the world's largest, multi species, free flight, aviary, the sign said.

We walked around for a few hours, took quite a few photos, of which I've posted some here, and very much enjoyed it.

We recommend Birds of Eden to anyone visiting South Africa. There are a lot more birds there than the few we've included here.
